Of course it's old news that Barrio Chino is a great place for drinks and mexican food, the often two hour wait on the weekend pretty much gives it away! I would suggest avoiding it on the weekend altogether. That said, it's hard to beat a margarita at Barrio Chino on a warm weeknight. The favourites around the table this night were the grapefruit and tamarindo, we tried it half salt, half sugar rim, nice idea! We tried some food as well, a mixed platter and a chicken mole dish to share. They were both really yummy. But we had a true Texan, Cheline and Jonathan, who had lived in Texas for years, at the table so of course it wasn't their favourite mole. (as to be expected) But Anna and I, who don't know any better, devoured it up all too happily ;) The yummy chocolate-like flavour complemented nicely our salty-sweet margaritas! Also big thanks to Jonathan for having a camera on him, without it this blog entry would not have been possible. (That was the infamous day I forgot my camera;)
