Moules That Are Worth More Than A Mention

Since I moved to New York I've been dying to try Tartine. I've jogged by it several times imaging the food that was being served inside... I had been recommended by so many friends to try it and was all too happy to find myself there for dinner. It was fantastic, hands down my favourite spot in the West Village. The cozy atmosphere is adorable and the food was excellent! It's BYOB so make sure to grab a bottle and cash before you sit down. (cash only) My date had to run out to do the wine/cash run after we ordered, guess that's just a part of the experience! We ordered the grilled saucisson and the a salad with grilled figs filled with goat cheese and crispy lardons over the top. We then shared the moules frites marinière... I almost died... I think they might have been the best mussels I've had in the city! The white wine taste mixed with the especially strong flavour of bay leaves and thyme was amazing!
